October 25, 2017 — Team Velocity Marketing scooped up video pre-roll production company, Car-Mercial, the company announced earlier this week. Car-Mercial’s video technology will be integrated into Team Velocity’s marketing automation platform, Apollo.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With video being the fastest growing consumer medium, Team Velocity believes Car-Mercial’s dynamic video platform will boost shopper engagement, generate more leads and deliver a strong ROI for its dealers.
The Apollo platform uses proprietary algorithms to automatically generate 30,000 payment and inventory-based ads monthly across paid search, online dynamic display, and now dynamic video pre-roll. Team Velocity will continue to support Car-Mercial’s current dealer clients as part of the acquisition.
Following a quiet first quarter that saw only two deals completed, 2017 is turning into one of the most active years in the last decade for M&A deals for vendors in the automotive retail space.
