AICPA Conference in Vegas

A little bit of bragging here — I’ve been asked to give the keynote presentation for the AICPA Auto Dealership Conference in October in Las Vegas.

My friend John Davis who is a partner with Dixon Hughes Goodman’s Dealer Services Group and is on AICPA’s dealer conference committee helped facilitate the engagement.

The conference is for dealership CFOs, controllers, principals, lenders, CPAs, manufacturer representatives and attorneys that interact with the automotive retail space. It’s heavy on tax issues, legal updates, potential problems with manufacturers and financial best practices.

It will be my third time as the keynote speaker at the conference — the topic, as it was the previous two times, will be a State of the Industry report and will cover:

  • Overall perspective of what the automotive retail industry will look like in 10 to 15 years
  • Insight into the seamless transaction process and what it means for the future of the F&I department
  • An update into key vendor strategy to help dealer attendees make sound vendor decisions
  • Insight on dealer buy-sell activity, including the public dealer group and larger private group acquisition strategy.
