Meri Glade

For over 20 years, Meri Glade has served as counsel and advisor to some of the leading automotive digital companies in the industry and is a recognized expert in the laws and regulations related to the marketing and selling of vehicles online.

Ms. Glade was the original General Counsel to Ford Motor Company and its retail dealers’ historic joint venture into the digital marketplace, FordDirect.

Prior to that, Ms. Glade served as legal counsel to Autoweb, Dealix, Outsell, Reply!, Vulcan Ventures Digital Automotive Group, DealerVault, and T2, to name a few of the leading providers of digital products in the industry. 

Ms. Glade currently serves on the Pacific Northwest States Governors Committee on Interstate Transportation studying driverless vehicles and related AI and is currently collaborating with the University of Michigan School of Law, Journal of Law and Mobility on autonomous vehicles and related laws.  In addition, she serves on several industry-related and charitable Boards.

Ms. Glade holds specialty certificates in privacy and data use law and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
